GUANGZHOU, Sept. 29 -- Chinese naval training ship Qi Jiguang and amphibious dock landing ship Jinggangshan set sail from a naval port in Zhanjiang City, south China's Guangdong Province, on Saturday, for the ocean-going cadet training mission. With cadets and instructors from the Chinese PLA Naval University of Engineering onboard, the ships will also visit Malaysia and Bangladesh and make a technical stop in Singapore.
During the voyage, the ships will organize training on geo-navigation, celestial navigation, and common training subjects. Naval cadets from Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, and other countries will join their Chinese counterparts in mixed groups and participate in the training together.
During the docking period, the ships will organize a series of exchange activities, including official courtesy calls and deck receptions, to enhance the practical cooperation and exchanges with the navies of countries visited.
